Seattle, WA – Moneytree makes a triple play as the only company to be named as a finalist on three major
Washington business lists. Seattle-based, family-owned, Moneytree was recognized in 2007 as one of
Washington’s most philanthropic companies by the Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ) and as one of the
state’s best employers by both the PSBJ and the Washington CEO Magazine.

With corporate giving nearing $1,000,000 annually, and a long-time supporter of community causes in each of its
five primary markets, Moneytree was honored in May by the PSBJ as one of Washington’s “Top 25 Philanthropic
Companies.” Finalists on the PSBJ’s Philanthropic list exemplify financial and philosophic commitment to
improving Washington state and contributing to worthwhile non-profit organizations. Moneytree’s support for
the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, First Place School, Food Lifeline, Childhaven, Children’s Hospital
and Regional Medical Center, and many other community organizations earned it a place on the PSBJ’s list of
“giving” companies for the sixth year in a row.

In June, Moneytree also learned it was a finalist on the Washington CEO Magazine list of “Best Companies to
Work For” in Washington state. The announcement came at the magazine’s annual Best Companies to Work For
Awards event held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Moneytree has been finalist on the
Washington CEO Magazine’s list five of the last six years.

Just two months later, the Puget Sound Business Journal released the results of its first, in what is to become an
annual survey, of “Washington’s Best Workplaces.” Over 200 companies were nominated for this award, but
only 100 companies made it on to the list. Moneytree was named as a finalist in the “large company” category
during the award ceremony at Safeco Field in August. Both the Washington CEO list and the “Washington Best
Workplaces” list are tabulated from employee feedback, submitted on a voluntary and anonymous basis, about a
variety of issues including corporate leadership, pay and benefits and overall job satisfaction.

Aggie Clark, Moneytree President, stated “We are elated to be the only company in Washington recognized by
the Washington CEO Magazine as one of the ‘Best to Work For,’ and by the Puget Sound Business Journal as a
‘Best Workplace’ and one of the state’s most philanthropic companies. Receiving these awards gives us great
pride because they indicate that our team members enjoy their jobs, feel valued, and are committed to our
communities.” Dennis Bassford, Moneytree CEO, echoed Ms. Clark’s sentiments: “We are gratified by the
recognition and by the opportunity to accomplish our mission at Moneytree: To be the best provider of retail
financial services by exceeding our customers’ expectations, by providing a professional work environment and
by giving back to the communities in which we live and work.”
